Jharkhand Polytechnic (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Jharkhand Polytechnic mobile application (the “App” or “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect user information when users access or use our application.

1.1 Google Sign-In
Our App provides Google Sign-In through Firebase Authentication. When you sign in using your Google account, we may collect your name, email address, and profile photo. This information is used only for user identification, account access, profile display, and leaderboard functionality.
We do not collect or store your Google account password.
1.2 Guest Login
We provide a “Sign in as Guest” option for users who want to use or test the App without signing in with Google. Guest data is temporary and may be deleted after logout, app reset, app refresh, or reinstall. Guest accounts are not intended for permanent data storage.
1.3 Mock Test and Leaderboard Data
When users participate in mock tests, we may collect test attempts, selected answers, scores, rankings, and performance-related data. If leaderboard features are available, your name and profile photo may be displayed with your ranking or score.
1.4 Device and Technical Information
To improve app stability, security, and performance, we may collect limited technical information such as device model, Android version, app version, crash reports, error logs, and diagnostic data.
We may also generate a non-personal unique identifier using device-related signals to help prevent misuse, maintain fair usage, and improve service reliability. This identifier is used only for app functionality and security purposes.
1.5 Usage Information
We may collect basic usage information such as app interactions, feature usage, session activity, and performance data. This helps us understand how users use the App and improve the overall experience.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information for the following purposes:

- To maintain user profiles and app access
- To provide mock test features and score tracking
- To display leaderboard rankings where applicable
- To improve app performance and user experience
- To detect, prevent, and fix technical issues

Logged-in user data may be stored as long as the user account remains active or as needed to provide app services. Guest data may be temporary and can be deleted at any time after logout, app reset, refresh, or reinstall.
Technical logs, crash data, and diagnostic information may be retained for a limited period for app improvement, security, and troubleshooting.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. User Choices and Data Deletion

8. Children’s Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we will take steps to remove it.
